Boston Bruins Lines 2011

2010-11 Boston Bruins Roster and Statistics

246 Goals Against in 30 Games

The 2010-11 Boston Bruins had a disappointing season, finishing with a record of 36-35-11 and missing the playoffs. One of the major reasons for their struggles was their poor goaltending. The Bruins allowed 246 goals in 30 games, which was the worst mark in the NHL. Their goals against average of 4.07 was also the worst in the league.

Roster

The Bruins' roster included a number of talented players, but they were not able to put it all together on the ice. David Krejci led the team in scoring with 59 points, while Milan Lucic was second with 52 points. Other key players included Mark Recchi, Brad Marchand, and Patrice Bergeron.

Goaltending

The Bruins' goaltending was a major problem all season long. Tuukka Rask started the season as the number one goalie, but he struggled mightily. He had a record of 15-16-5 with a 3.70 GAA and a .894 save percentage. Tim Thomas was brought in to replace Rask, but he was not much better. He had a record of 7-6-5 with a 3.91 GAA and a .890 save percentage.

Conclusion

The 2010-11 season was a forgettable one for the Boston Bruins. They missed the playoffs and had one of the worst goaltending performances in the NHL. The Bruins will need to make some major changes if they want to be a contender next season.
